Oh Starbucks, you've always been there for me

I took this photo with my iPhone and used a great free app called BWCamera Free. I am pleasantly surprised at the iPhone's camera capabilities and quality. I have never had so much fun shooting with a cell phone camera. I am seriously considering doing a 365 Project using nothing but my iPhone. I've wanted to do something like that for a long time, but most of the time I don't have my camera with me, or it's too big to lug around, which is why I am considering getting a higher end point-and-shoot or a digital rangefinder. But as I have come to find out, they usually want money for this high tech stuff. Well, I suppose it's worth it.

Morning Glory

You know, a lot of people know exactly what it is they are shooting. I have no freakin' idea what the name of this flower is, or most of the flowers I shoot. I could figure it out with a simple google search, but I guess my question is, does it matter?

Selfishness

Selfishness

This photo was inspired by The Hand. I had just gotten my new Canon 50mm F1.8 lens and I had always wanted to experiment with a shallow depth of field. When I saw The Hand I really wanted to try a shot like it. It didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it to, but I think I achieved my goal. I will probably be messing around with this type of shot more in the future.

Out My Front Door

They say that the best camera is the one that you have with you. I couldn't agree more. I took this photo in 2 seconds as I walked out my front door to go to work this morning. It's a beautiful sunrise, and to tell you the truth, I am too lazy to pull my DSLR out of my bag and shoot just this one shot. However, my iPhone does a great job of shots on the run. I never thought I would be using my phone to take such great pictures. I encourage you to take advantage of that little feature on your phone and start taking more pictures.
Make your camera easily accessible in your phone with shortcuts, and find a way to be able to upload them to your computer. Most cameras on cell phones don't look very good when they are on that tiny little screen, but once you get them on your computer they really look much better.

Reminders of You

Reminders of You

Reminds me of the twinkle in your eyes,
And the glow from your smile,
Reminds me of the glow from the sunrise.
The raindrops that fall around me,
Remind me of the tears that I cry,
And the happiness you bring me,
Reminds me of the sun in the sky.
It's so hard to get you off my mind,
I'm not sure what I should do,
Because every moment of the day,
Is a reminder of you.
